Jean had beautiful gardens at her home on Raworth Heights. I bought her home in 2022 and am so very grateful for all the care that she & Cyril put into this property. I’m now raising my son here, starting our own gardens (pictured) & we found an album of early pictures of the Raworth house including the first seasons of their beautiful gardens. Honoured to continue Jean’s legacy of gardening!

Debbie- we wish to extend our condolences to you and your families at this sad time. May the wonderful memories you have of your Mom be your source of comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead. She will always be with you- a hummingbird hovering in your window, a rainbow on the horizon or a sunflower with its face reaching for the sun. God bless, sending our prayers and hugs.

To Janet, Debbie, Stephen and all the family,
I'm sorry to learn that Jean has passed away. But it's comforting that she lived such a long and fruitful life. She was a very centred person and kept things so well organized all the time. My memories of Cyril and Jean are just wonderful, with grand times around Pilley's Island and the 30 years of boat trips with Ed and Marlene sharing in the adventures and calamities of breakdowns and crazy weather, as well as the lobster boils and laughter. Also, there were the many gatherings at Cobb Lane in Corner Brook with Otto and the boys from St. John's, with the crazy stories, the sing-songs and all manner of Newfoundland entertainment. It was a privilege to be part of this wonderful circle of friends, and I cherish the memories. You have wonderful memories too of your lives with them, and those memories will keep them close to you even as you mourn your loss of another dear one of your family.
Sincerely,
Jo Kennedy

My condolences on hearing of your mother's passing. My first memories are of the year on the old Weldon Avenue and then when you all moved on to Weldon Street. As we all know as time passes by we get to the age when we start losing our loved ones as you know and as Eric knows. It is a hard reality but we do have our memories to hold us up and smile. Take care to you all.
