Obituary of Dale Steven Alder
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Steven Alder announces his passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the young age of 61.
Born in Upper Cape, NB on April 29, 1963, he was the son of the late Ernest Alder.
As a man, family was everything to dad. He was there for us no matter what the need was. He taught us to stand up for what we believe in, good or bad and to strive to be the best person we could be.
Dale was an avid hunter and would hunt whatever moved, even that metal moose. He was a hard worker, self-taught mechanic, loved a good joke and he would laugh from deep within the depths of his being. Dale loved guns, western movies and good comics.
Dads teach you many lessons in life, but not how to live without them. We grieve today and share our fondest memories of antics and shed some tears and laughs. Everyone having a story to share, our love for this man as we say our “see ya later”, will never cease. In our hearts and minds we will carry you with love and care. You were dad and taught us a lot. When we get there, save a spot!
Dale leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy (Dulenty) Alder; his children, Steven Alder (Melissa), Adam Kenny (Becky), Alan Kenny (Melanie) and Arlene Kenny (Jason); his grandchildren, Danielle, Aidan, Justice, Tyson and Keean, as well as by his special aunt, Debbie Alder.
Dale was pre-deceased by his father, Ernest Alder; his grandmothers, Jessie Alder and Gladys Polley, as well as by his brother, Danny Alder.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and the staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Following Dale’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in the spring in the Fernwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dale may be made to the NB Lung Association or to the charity of one’s choice.
On-line condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
