Obituary of Doris Therese (Vienneau) Power

It is with deep sadness that the family of Doris Therese Power announces her passing on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Doris passed away peacefully at the age of 82.

Born on October 21, 1935 in Beresford, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Olga (Aubie) and Jean Vienneau.

Doris was a happy person who loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the musical family gatherings.  She also enjoyed playing her guitar and playing bingo.

Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband of over 60 years, Dominic Power; her daughter, Nicole (Troy Wells); her brothers, Albain Aubie, Real (Paula) Vienneau, Gerard (Irene) Vienneau, Claude Vienneau and Roger (Juliette) Vienneau; her sisters, Blondine (Leo) Godin, Rose Marie (Paul Pitre) and Anne Marie (Yvon Comeau); her grandchildren, Cole, Aiden and Donovan; her step-grandchildren, Marissa and Debra Jane Wells, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Doris was pre-deceased by her brothers, Adrien Vienneau, Cleopha Vienneau, Raymond Vienneau and Gerald Vienneau, as well as by her grandson, Jimmy Allie Lavigne.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Doris’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
