Obituary of Katherine Neta Tuff

Katherine Neta (Tracy) Tuff of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on December 11, 2008 after battling cancer. She was 76 years of age. Born in Sackville, N.B. on November 19, 1932, Katherine was the daughter of the late Georgena Ellen (Hicks) and Oscar Raworth Tracy. Katherine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who worked with her husband in their greenhouse business for over 25 years. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and various church groups. She volunteered her time cooking, knitting and helping others. Katherine will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert, her children, Elizabeth of Moncton, N.B. Janet Hovey of Moncton, N.B., Robert of Dauphin, Manitoba and Jennifer Tuff and Rob Shave of Southampton, Ontario; her brother Art (Thelma) Tracy and sister Doris Wobeck, all of BC and her grandchildren, Jessica, Claire, Alex, Rachel and Zoe. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Respecting Katherine’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, in Sackville on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey Murray officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Katherine may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 36 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. E4L 3N7 or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Sincere thanks to the hospital staff for their kindness and special care that was given to Katherine during her illness. The family also extends gratitude to our family, friends and neighbours for their support.
