Obituary of Ronald Trueman Babcock
Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Ronald T. Babcock, announce his passing on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Ronald was 86 years of age.
Born on October 12,1922, Ronald was the son of the late Trueman and Mae (Richardson) Babcock.
Ronald was employed, until his retirement, with NB Tel and he loved his job as a linesman. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, Sackville. Ronald loved camping especially in his trailer on the trips with his wife Eileen. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend.
Ronald will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Eileen (Estabrooks) Babcock; his son, Allan Babcock; niece, Joy and nephew Sandy.
He was predeceased by his two sisters, Muriel Babcock and Frances Hendrickson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 2 PM, from the funeral home with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, will hold a service at 1:45 PM on Tuesday, just before the funeral service begins. Burial will take place in the spring in the Four Corners Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
