Obituary of Erika Fassauer

It is with sadness that the family of Erika Amalie Fassauer, of Point de Bute, N.B. announce her passing on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Erika was 83 years of age. Born in Willhelmshaven, Germany on July 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harm and Helene Corneleos. Erika was a loving, caring, caregiving and kind person. She will be greatly missed by all of her family whom will always treasure her in their hearts forever. Erika will be sadly missed by her daughter, Hannelore (Alwin) Zerb of Point de Bute, N.B.; two grandchildren, Holger Zerb (Janice Chamberlain), of Moncton, N.B. and Alexandra (Gary) Hunter of Mount Whatley, N.B. and three great-grandchildren, Bianca, Erich and Gabriele. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Fassauer and by her son Manfred Fassauer. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service will be held from the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, Sackville, N.B. on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Point de Bute Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Erika may be made to the Sackville Christian Academy or to the charity of one’s choice.
