Obituary of Sharon Sybilla Tower

Sackville, N.B.- It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon S. Tower, announce her sudden passing on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Sharon was 60 years of age. Sharon was born in Sackville, N.B. on August 2, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Sybilla (Goodwin) and Gerald Sears. Sharon enjoyed playing her guitar, playing bingo, making crafts and jewelry and often quilted blankets and loved to sew. She loved watching her children and grandchildren playing softball and following them to the campgrounds to spend weekends together. Sharon will be remembered as someone who always helped her family and others and was a very loving, caring and well respected person. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Sharon will be sadly missed by her husband of 41 years, Wayne Tower of Sackville, N.B.; four children, Shelly (Richard) Tower of Sackville, N.B., Carl (Christina) Tower of Baltimore, Ontario, Wendy (Fred) Atkinson of Sackville, N.B. and Crystal (Mike) Hicks of Sackville, N.B.; three brothers, Mike (Sharon) of Toronto, Ontario, Albert (Delores) of Aulac, N.B. and Colin (Louitta) of Amherst, N.S.; four sisters, Janice (Bryan) Whithers of Sackville, N.B., Reva (Gary) Wells of Sackville, N.B., Muriel (Ernie) Austin of Sackville, N.B. and Rosa (Guy) Leblanc of Moncton, N.B.; half-brother Paul (Gaby) Goodwin of Toronto, Ontario; Uncle Roy (Joanne) Tower of Cambridge, Ontario; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Shane, Misty, Cody, Amber, Jacob and Joshua; one great-grandson, Julien and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald (Jud) Sears and Sybilla (Bill) (Goodwin) Sears and by her brother Gerald James. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Main Street Baptist Church , with Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
