It is with deep sadness that the family of Ernest Harper announces his passing on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Ernest passed away at the Drew Nursing Home at the age of 83.
Born on May 18, 1939 in Middle Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Ethel Mae (Stokes) and Harry Cyrus Harper.
Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Cassie Ethel (Wheaton); his children, Terry (Sue), Preston (Judy), Jeff (Brenda) and Kim (Cecil); his sisters, Carol and Mildred; his grandchildren, Meghan Harper, Wade Harper, Tylor Harper, Travis Harper, Brittany Harper, Lacey Harper, Shawn Phinney and Scott Phinney; his great-grandchildren, Cameron Harper, MacKenzie Harper, Phoenix Harper, Jaelynn Harper, Alyssa Harper, Hailey Harper Bentley Ross, Braxton Ross, Mason Brayley, Maddox Brayley, Olivia Phinney and Colby Phinney; his son-in-law, Ivan Phinney; his sister-in-law, Sheila Harper, his brother-in-law, Angus MacEachern, as well as by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents he was pre-deceased by his daughter, Darlene Phinney (Harper); his brothers, Harry, Preston and Kenny; his sister, Barbara in infancy; his daughter-in-law, Angela Harper (Landry), as well as by his sister-in-law, Rose Harper.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Ernie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
