Obituary of Laura Mae Tower

Sackville, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Laura Mae Tower, at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Laura was 81 years of age. Born on September 12, 1935 in Mount View, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Ida Pearl (Ogden) and Hazen Henry Goodwin. Laura loved watching Coronation Street and enjoyed getting out to go visit different places. She loved her family and grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Laura will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ron Tower; her daughter, Brenda Tower (Paul Leger); her sister, Frances Pearl; her brother, Ivan (Tally) Goodwin; three grandchildren, Sharon, Joe and Brian; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Albion Tower; her son, David George Tower; her granddaughter, Rose-Ann; four brothers, Donald, Marvin, Carman and James, as well as by her sister, Margaret Donald. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2 pm with a reception to follow. The burial will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Laura may be made to the Drew Tantramar Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the charity of one’s choice.
