Obituary of Alice Faye Sprague

Alice Faye (Winters)Sprague, born August 9, 1935 in Kildare, PE, daughter of the late Herbin and Elsie (Jeffrey) Winters. Alice passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on July 2, 2016. She is survived by her children, Wendy Boutilier (Carson), Gordon (Susan Cameron) of Cape Tormentine, N.B., Carolyn Stright (Leigh) of Little Shemogue, N.B. and Crystal DeGroot (James) of Victoria, BC. Alice is also survived by her grandchildren, Darren (Angela Wall) MacNeil, their children, Jessica and Kendra MacNeil of Moncton, N.B., Samantha (MacNeil) (Kevin) Allen, their children, Damian and Donovon of Fairview, AB, Jody Sprague (Victoria Landry), their daughter, Grace of Lower Sackville, NS, Miranda Sprague of Halifax, NS, Timothy Stright (Natasha Throop), their children, Ava and Logan of Murray Corner, NB, Mindie Stright (Jordan Hovey), their children, Jacob and Oliver of Salisbury, NB, Britney DeGroot (Gary Teele), their children, Brooklyn and Urijah Teele of Victoria, BC, Ashlyn DeGroot of Victoria, BC and her step-granddaughter, Jessica Fish, her son, Clyde of Vancouver, BC and step-grandson, Logan Fish (Grace Paras), their daughter, Ava and unborn son Hayden of Dubai. She is also survived by her sisters, Winnie (late Garth) Downe, Anita (late Rennie) Judson of Charlottetown, PEI and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Herbin and Elsie Winters; her husband, Gordon Sprague in December 2001; her special companion of 38 years, Austin Trenholm in October 2015; her cousin (brother) Jimmie in October 2015 and by her great-granddaughter, Hope Alice Evelyn Stright. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2 pm with The Rev’d Dr. Ranall Ingalls officiating. The burial will take place in the Bayfield Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Cape Tormentine, NB. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Alice may be made to CARMA Sackville, NB Chapter or to the Moncton SPCA.
