Obituary of John Robert Beal

Midgic, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that the family of John Robert Beal announces his passing on Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. John passed away peacefully at the age of 82, with his loving family by his side. Born on January 14, 1934 in Midgic, N.B. he was the son of the late Luella (Estabrooks) Beal and John Henry Beal. John was employed at the Enterprise Foundry and as Carpenter Foreman at Halifax Foundation Co. as well as the Carpenter Instructor at the Dorchester Penitentiary. He loved the outdoors, playing baseball, playing cards and going to the camp. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Hazel (Carter) Beal; his son, Ricky Beal (Deidre Noiles); his sisters, Inga, Cynthia and Daphna; his brothers, Abner (Ruby), Harry (Loretta) and Raymond (Heather); his granddaughter, Shelley Beal (Kyle Estabrooks) and by his grandson, Jay (Leslie) Ryan. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his daughters, Belinda and Shelley; his sister, Alberta and by his brothers, Earl, Hyle, Leaman, Hollis, Donald, Harold and Lloyd. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2 pm at the Midgic Cemetery with Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend. Following the service, a reception will take place at the Midgic Baptist Church. If so desired, donations in memory of John may be made to the Midgic Cemetery or to the charity of one’s choice.
