Obituary of Henry G. Fawcett

Riverview, N.B.- The death of Henry G. Fawcett, age 92, occurred on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born in Springhill, N.S. on August 18, 1914, he was the son of the late Percy and Grace (Turner) Fawcett. Henry attended the Sackville United Church until he and his wife Frances relocated to Riverview, N.B. in 1996. He was a former member of the Sackville Kinsmen Club, was a member of the Sackville Senior Citizens Club and a former member of the Sackville Curling Club and Sackville Golf and Country Club. Henry loved the hobby of rug hooking and was talented at making rugs from “scratch” with his own designs. Henry will be sadly missed by his wife of thirty-five years, Frances (Colpitts) Fawcett of Riverview, N.B.; three sisters, Ruth Harrison of Springhill, N.S., Grace (Ken) Murray of Dartmouth, N.S. and Olive Stonehouse of Springhill, N.S.; stepchildren Brian and Janet; step grandchildren Virginia and Alex and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Gwen Russell. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service by request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of ones choice.
